How To Get The Most Out Of Your GW2 Items
June 18th, 2010 by admin
One thing that was quickly noticeable in the making of Guild Wars 2 that a diverse set of weapons is needed to support the GW skill system. The standard wieldable GW2 weapons are as following:
One-Handed
Axe, Dagger, Mace, Pistol, Scepter, and Sword
Two-Handed
Greatsword, Hammer, Longbow, Rifle, Shortbow, and Staff
Offhand only
Focus, Shield, Torch, and Warhorn
Some Guild Wars 2 professions can wield more weapons than others but there is not a one profession that can use all of them. Many can wield a one-handed weapon in the offhand which will have different skills than it would have when wielded in the main hand. Let’s take a warrior for example, if he wields a GW2 weapon in both his main hand and off hand that would give him three skills in his main hand and two skills form the sword in his offhand.

With all the new changes in Guild Wars 2, it’s a bit like learning a new game all over again and that in itself can get a little overwhelming. The game is going to be released soon so be sure to come prepared. One of the best ways to do that is take advantage of Guild Wars guides and tips.
Guides are more detailed that GW2 tips and lead you through certain parts of the game with detailed step-by-step directions. Oftentimes they include maps and images to make things easier. Tips are small bits of information and suggestions on how to most skillfully complete an assignment.
