Unfortunately as many of you may already know, Guild Wars recently terminated more the 3,700 accounts. Most of these bans were due to botting and match manipulation. Guilds that were also involved in these activities were bisbanded.

In the last few months GW reported that they have seen a significant increase in the sophistication and number of Guild Wars bots, especially those used in PvP. Their main concern about botting is the potential negative effects on the experience of other plays. They report that to “varying degree” players using cheats hurt the economy.
There is a lot of controversy surrounding the use of Guild Wars bots since many players claim that using bots is the only reason they even play the game.
