Guild Wars PvP (player vs. player) is gameplay where players go to battle with one another in different organized events.  Players usually participate in PvP to improve their combat skills; it is generally different from regular PvE (player vs environment) gameplay.

  • Codex Arena- 2 organized groups of 4 compete using only a limited pool of skills
  • Guild Battles- 2 organized groups of 8 compete to kill each other’s Guild Lord
  • Heroes’ Ascent- 2 organized groups of 8 compete in trials, finishing in the Hall of Heroes
  • Fort Aspenwood/Jade Quarry- 2 random teams compete in a mini-mission
  • Random Arenas- 2 organized teams of 8 compete in a deathmatch
